Personal Policies



The below statements represent the policies of Tanaduk Wellness, LLC, and of Claire Wehrle:

  1. Energy Healing or Spiritual Attunements:
    1. In purchasing or having communications with me, the client knows and acknowledges that I hold certification as a Reiki Master as well as has been fully attuned or trained in other energy healing modalities, and have the ability to practice Reiki and other forms of energy healing in my state even without holding a massage therapy license.
    2. No guarantees are made on the anticipated results of a session.
    3. Reiki is an alternative/complementary form of energy healing, should be seen at most to be spiritual/entertainment/educational/supplemental, even if the session is performed with the greatest care by the practitioner. All energetic assessments made by the practitioner are up for equal interpretation and license for rejection by the client. The practitioner is to be held harmless in decision-making by the client after the session is completed.
    4. No changes to the client’s energy body outside of the goals of the session (such as performing an attunement while receiving a healing, or receiving an energy type for healing that was not requested) will be made without the client’s knowledge and consent.
    5. Energy healing may not be without physical or emotional discomfort during the process of an energy healing session, although all efforts will be made by the practitioner to minimize or mitigate any instances of it. These instances are seen by the practitioner as usually due to the release of energetic blockages within the client.
    6. In the process of purchases of an energy healing service, all necessary health concerns have been disclosed to the practitioner, and all preferences have been stated with honesty, with the practitioner indemnified/held harmless for any health problems arising after the session or previously undisclosed health problems arising during the session.
    7. If a distance session is performed, real-time conversation may not be available, due to scheduling conflicts, conflicts with the preferred contact method (such as via email, where real-time conversations are more difficult), or time zone issues - though the practitioner will arrange with me when the best time is to perform a session.
    8. The practitioner holds that they are not a medical doctor, and thus all potential serious health problems and suggestions for laboratory work will be referred to one, with no formal diagnoses made. The practitioner is also not a lawyer, financial advisor, mental health professional, life coach, or professional dietitian. All lifestyle and dietary advice is on pure suggestion to explore made through basic research of the practitioner only, with no financial or legal advice given.
    9. The practitioner holds that they also do not attempt to treat or cure medical conditions, only offer support towards wellness.
    10. Third party services are not performed without the explicit written consent of the third party.
  2. Clinical Herbal Consultations and Workshops
    1. In purchasing or having communications with me, the client knows and acknowledges that I hold certification to provide consultations and recommend formulas as well as some dietary/lifestyle suggestions in Clinical Herbal Medicine through a Masters of Science Degree from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), effective December, 2021.
    2. The practitioner holds that they are not a medical doctor, and thus all potential serious health problems and suggestions for laboratory work will be referred to one, with no formal diagnoses made. The practitioner is also not a lawyer, financial advisor, mental health professional, life coach, or professional dietitian. All lifestyle and dietary advice is on pure suggestion to explore made through basic research of the practitioner only.
    3. The practitioner holds that they also do not attempt to treat or cure medical conditions, only offer support towards wellness.
    4. There is the understanding that herbs, while seen as a natural support for illnesses and wellbeing, may have negative side-effects for health. While the practitioner will make the utmost effort to only suggest herbs, dosages, and formula timings that are safe and in the best interest of the client, it is ultimately at client discretion to take herbs that are suggested via an herbal formula, and to decide if the herbs are right for them.
    5. The client holds the right to refuse any and all herbal formulas suggested to them by the practitioner if they do not feel that the formula is right for them and their needs in any manner.
    6. If the client is unsatisfied with the herbal formula suggested to them, they may also request a different formula be made. While requests for slight changes or further suggestions for the formula may be made in-between consultations, full discussion of what may need changing should be conducted during a follow-up consultation, and if an entirely new formula or major adjustments are necessary it will be done after a follow-up consultation.
    7. Herbal information in workshops is typically basic herbal knowledge that can be found in multiple sources, and may include some basic instruction simply on how to create products such as tinctures, salves, etc. as well as possibly personal recipes. Client-specific custom formulas will not be given without an herbal consultation, as during a workshop there is often no way to obtain a large amount of knowledge about the client that is needed to provide a formula that is a good fit for the client’s needs.
  3.  Payment, Post-Session and Refunds Policies
    1. Payment will be made prior to the occurrence of a session or by pre-agreed arrangement.
    2. Write-ups of an energy healing session will be given in PDF form via either direct message or email (at the client’s preference).
    3. Refunds of payments will not be given because of this being a small business without much ability to pay money back. If you’re unhappy with something, however, let me know and I’ll happily try to work out what’ll work best for us both, and store credit will be given for your purchase.
    4. No services will be given to those under 18 years of age without the signature of a parent or legal guardian. Attunements or empowerments however will firmly not be given to anyone under 18.
    5. I retain the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, even though I will never refuse someone based on their socioeconomic status, race, physical/mental ability, religion, or gender/sexual identity.
  4. Use of Information
    1. The practitioner will keep all personal information of the client obtained through intake forms confidential and within HIPAA guidelines as much as possible, barring any information revealed that may put the client or others at risk of grave harm, or there is a medical emergency that occurs during the session (at which point the appropriate authorities may be contacted, and information which may be seen as medically or legally necessary such as the client’s primary care provider or emergency contact will be given).
    2. If there is any breach in confidentiality, the client will be alerted immediately.
    3. Information about the client may be shared with other clinical herbal practitioners for the sake of the best interests of the client and the practitioner’s learning, but will be shared only with the knowledge and verbal or written consent of the client, and with all identifying information left out.
    4. During workshops, there is the understanding of the participant that they will not share identifying information about other participants to those around them.
