Clinical Herbalism Services

Herbs provide holistic support on the journey to wellness and can address physical or mental issues, including fatigue, agitation, digestion, congestion, and more. While they should be used as complementary to conventional medications, particularly in the case of serious ailments, certain herbs may match the efficacy of pharmaceuticals while being gentler on the body. An herbal formula can target multiple body systems at once, promoting overall wellbeing.

My Clinical Herbal Services and Clinical Process

As opposed to researching herbs on one's own, consulting a professional clinical herbalist provides key benefits that come from an individualized and holistic assessment. In addition to looking for empirical evidence of efficacy, I consider personal habits and lifestyle, medications, diet, mental health, sleep, lab reports, family history, and constitution per Eastern medicinal principles, to ensure the best herbal choices for each unique individual. I compile a personalized herbal formula tailored to your individual needs, taking into consideration dosage, convenience and cost relative to your lifestyle and preferences.

The hour-long clinical herbal consultations that I provide are ideal for providing personalized, comprehensive care to address chronic, multiple, and complex health concerns, as well as simple or short-term needs. The consultations provide the opportunity to receive tailored, thorough support regardless of the scope and complexity of the presenting issues.

Initial full consultations are $150, with follow-up consultations $85. 

Consultations and follow-ups are typically spaced three months apart to gain insight into the efficacy of the prescribed herbal regimen. We may also communicate once a month during this time to ensure the plan is on track, and make any necessary adjustments.

About Me and The Booking Process

For a bit of information about me, I graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Masters of Science in Clinical Herbal Medicine, and am now offering clinical herbalism services as well as energy healing sessions as both a Reiki Master-Teacher and a practitioner of Norse Runic Energy Healing online via Carepatron. Client orders for herbs are filled at The Elderberry in Charlottesville, Virginia and can be either picked up or shipped. I work to be sensitive to the needs of the LGBT+ community, and have a particular interest in working with herbs for chronic pain, chronic illness, and autoimmune struggles. If booking with me online, I will email you an invitation after your purchase to join Carepatron, the HIPAA-compliant service that I use to send forms, recommendations, and the organization of online sessions. I will ask that prior to the consultation that both a basic information/informed consent form be signed as well as an intake form, and a consent for telehealth communication form. 

I prioritize making health and wellness services accessible. For those in need of financial support, please reach out to me to see if assistance is an option. ShopPay payment plans on the product pages are additionally available for those who want to opt for payment division without a credit check, while still ensuring that I receive the full amount due at the time of booking.

Note that these consultations do not include the supplying of herbs recommended in herbal formulae. I will do my best to make the formulae affordable, but the herbs must be purchased separately. After the consultation and the formulae has been created, instructions will be sent to The Elderberry with the specific herbs and dosages you need. The Elderberry will then contact you to pay for them and arrange for them to be picked up or shipped. Furthermore, these consultations should not be used to replace medical care, but instead should be viewed as complementary.
